Course Details

Objective: To introduce students to the Korean language and culture while enabling them to comprehend and use the simple structures of day-to-day life.( Level 1)

Methodology: Instruction, question-answer, discussion, collaboration in pairs and groups

Age group: Age 12 years and above

Study Material: Participants will get study material (PDFs, audio, videos, online links for interactive exercises, etc.) compiled by the teacher in the tuition fees themselves. Participants can also view all recorded lectures during the period of the course.

Days: Monday to Friday

Timing: 8:30 PM To 9:15 PM

This beginner-friendly course helps you read, write, and speak Korean confidently. You’ll learn Hangeul (the Korean alphabet), everyday vocabulary, and useful expressions for real-life situations — from introducing yourself to ordering food or talking about the weather.

Lesson 0: Introduction to Hangeul (the Korean Alphabet) You will learn to:

Read and write Korean letters (consonants and vowels)

Understand the unique features of Hangeul

Combine letters to form simple syllables and words

By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to read basic Korean words!

Lesson 1: Introducing Yourself You will learn to:

Introduce yourself in both formal and informal ways

Talk about your name, nationality, and occupation

Use simple greetings naturally

Grammar Focus:

  • Noun + /는 — Topic markers (used to introduce subjects)
  • Noun + 이에요 / 예요 — “It is / I am” (polite form)
  • Noun + 입니까? — Asking questions formally
  • Noun + 입니다 — Answering formally

Vocabulary:

  • Greetings, nationalities, occupations

Lesson 2: Things and Items You will learn to:

Name and describe common objects

Ask for and request items in a shop or classroom

Talk about what you have or don’t have

Grammar Focus:

  • Noun + /가 아닙니다 — Saying “It is not”
  • Noun + 있어요 / 없어요 — Saying “There is / isn’t” or “I have / don’t have”
  • 이거는 / 그거는 / 저거는 + Noun + 이에요 / 예요 — “This/that is a …”
  • Noun + 주세요 — “Please give me…” (making polite requests)
  • Noun + 하고 / / + Noun — “And” (to connect nouns)

Lesson 3: Daily Activities and Places You will learn to:

Talk about what you’re doing right now

Describe where you are and what’s happening there

Use basic action words

Grammar Focus:

  • Verb + 아요 / 어요 — Present tense verbs
  • Noun + /를 — Object markers
  • Noun + 에서 — “At/in” (to indicate location of an action)
  • + Verb — Making negatives (“don’t / not doing”)

Vocabulary:

  • Lesson 4: Asking About Places You will learn to:
  • Describe places and locations
  • Ask and answer questions about where things are
  • Talk about destinations and directions

Lesson 7: Weather and Seasons You will learn to:

  • Talk about the weather and seasons

  • Use adjectives naturally in sentences

  • Adjective / Verb + 습니다 / ㅂ니다 — Formal endings
